About me

My name is Margaret Rose Sullivan. I am a actress, singer and comedian. I am currently studying theater and psychology at Wesleyan University. As an actress most recently, I have appeared in productions of Legally Blonde I approach theatre with the aim of making an audience member smile, although each role may not be comedic. I love theater improvisation.
I study classical voice and am excited to pursue a study of music in the future. While I love the sounds of Ralph Vaughn Williams and Mozart, I also have a passion for singing R&B. After attending a vocal summit at Berklee College of Music with a concentration in R&B and then a classical Vocal Choral Intensive at the Boston Conservatory, I realized that my love of both contemporary and classical music are not at odds with one another. My passion for all genres of music makes my voice both individual and flexible. I am always learning from the music in my headphones, whether I am listening to Leontyne Price or Whitney Houston.

A collection of my performances as well as projects I was part of. See me in action!
I perform Stephen Sondheim's Not A Day Goes by from the Broadway show, Merrily We Roll Along, at the Boston Conservatory.
I perform a monologue and song as Roxie in Bluestocking Theatre Company's Chicago! The Musical. I loved playing the feisty and manipulative, Roxie and was so happy to be working with the co-founders of Bluestocking Theatre Company, Christianna Moestae and Emma Garthwate.
I had the opportunity to sing at Pingree School's academic awards ceremony last year with my friend, Jared Gilman. We sang one of my absolute favorites, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's Ain't No Mountain High Enough.
I perform It Ain't No Thing from my high school's production of Bring it On! The Musical as Bridget.
I sing "They Were You" from The Fantasticks. Originally composed as a duet, I perform this piece solo. Proof no young lady needs a man to thrive.
Recently, a few of my friends and I started a band. Our name is under construction. Here is a video of our cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin' live.

Max Stimpson and I as Billy Flynn and Roxie Hart in Bluestocking Theatre Co.'s production of Chicago!

I love inventing characters, and this one is legendary at my school. Her name is Hip Hop Anime and she is on the security team at comic con. She fights to keep the peace at Cosplay conventions with her sweet dance moves! This picture was taken at an improv assembly where I performed with a dear friend and comic genius, Lydia McGinn.

The entire cast of Bluestocking Theatre Co.'s production of Chicago worked incredibly hard, but sometimes, especially in a creative environment, one has to take a moment to simply laugh. In this moment, Max Stimpson and I goofed off in front of the camera, not as Billy and Roxie, but as ourselves.

In order to get a serious photo of me, a million of these kinds of these kinds of snapshots have to be taken. I like this photo because I think it has a bit of personality thrown in there.

My sophomore year, the amazing art department at Pingree School wrote a musical titled, "Get Real." I had the opportunity to help create my role of Swee Pea, a singing southern bell with an edge. Here Swee Pea is, stealing the spotlight from her nemesis, played by Luke Caruso.

In Bring It On! The Musical, I played Bridget. She's spunky and spirited but fails to realize how absolutely fabulous she is. In this photo, Bridget receives some advice on embracing her sexuality. In the musical, Bridget's role is to tell a true story of what it is like navigating the transition from girl to woman, and I so enjoyed playing her.
